February Source for Sports Player of the Month is #4 Lucas Watkins!
Defenceman Lucas Watkins is the Bow Mark Oilers player of the Month Nominee. Leading the Oilers defence in scoring Lucas has had to log big minutes through much of the second half with the teams injuries. A physical force on the back end while adding to the Oilers Offence, Lucas’s leadership has helped secure the Oilers playoff spot in February by playing top minutes versus the leagues top players. Lucas has been a rock for the Oilers this season on defence and his leadership on and off the ice is symbolic of Oiler Hockey. Lucas volunteers and reads to elementary students, helps at minor hockey practices, volunteers at school and with the towns snow angels program amongst other volunteer activities.
